Very strange. My first thought was a bad terminal settting and oddly enough u8 (user string 8) could do that but i can't see how that would get invoked. I haven't a clue. Have you tried dramamine? ;-) -- ________________________________________________________________ J.W. Schultz Pegasystems Technologies email address: jw@pegasys.ws Remember Cernan and Schmitt
Sending direct to me what should be going to the list is a sure way to get a low priority in my queue. On Mon, Mar 03, 2003 at 03:02:47PM +0100, Philipp W. wrote:> > Very strange. However RH7.3 would i think have a very old version of rsync. I'd start by upgrading. Certainly there isn't much value of anyone spelunking the current code to fix a problem that might already be fixed.> i did some tests....You didn't say if this was on stdout or stderr.> i changed the dirs ano got the same error..... but shorter > (6c6c)That is slightly informative.> when i use the same synthax ond the destination directory doesn't exist, > there is no 6c6c6c, but doing a second run, 6c6c6c is again there.... > > what else can i try?Upgrade first. If problem persists identify which stream it is on. Try various numbers of -v with and without -P to see what it takes to trigger this.> > > >> Has anyone an idea why i always get > >> > >> 6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c6c > >> > >> on the command line after > >> > >> rsync -avvP /home/philipp/Photos/ /home/philipp/backup/data/Photos/ > >> --stats --delete > >> > >> is finished? > >> > >> Has anyone an idea? > > > >-- ________________________________________________________________ J.W.
