[libvirt-users] No IOMMU found. Unable to assign device
Hi, I am playing around with PCI passthrough and came across some posts that said you could not do PCI passthrough unless you had IOMMU hardware. which it would appear I don't Is this the case? Am I flogging a dead horse? Thanks, Marco -- Marco van Beek =========================================Supporting Role Ltd. That's correct. You need a mainboard that supports Intel VT-d or AMD-Vi. Start here (http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/CS-030922.htm ) for Intel. Not sure where to find a list of AMD boards. Without IOMMU you need to rely on emulation. -dmw On 04/21/2011 09:57 AM, Marco van Beek wrote:> Hi, > > I am playing around with PCI passthrough and came across some posts > that said you could not do PCI passthrough unless you had IOMMU > hardware. which it would appear I don't > > Is this the case?
