Hi, everyone! I have a little Problem with running Guitar Pro 6 under Wine 1.2.2 It runs fine but the sound during playing a music-file isnt sync to the pointer that shows what note has been played right now. When i start playback, the pointer moves correctly, but the sound is starting after about one note is passed. This makes writing song very ennoying. I use the ALSA driver in the Wine settings, all others are not working. I use Ubuntu 11.04 (natty narwal) on 64bit (this is why i choose the windows-version of Guitar Pro, the Linux-Version cannot handle 64bit yet...argh) i use the Real Sound Engine (RSE) in GuitarPro because the Midi Output dont works. (It works well with Timidity) Maybe someone can help me getting MIDI running in Wine, so maybe the problem with the synchro of sound and graphic can be prevent with MIDI? Or are there some general tricks to fix sync problems? What can be the reason? GuitarPro show in the settings no Soundcard, but it works (kind of) Thanks for every hint! Matthias

Hi! I upgraded and now it works - but only, when i let Wine emulate the sound (despite of the "full" mode). This leads to performance issues wich i can almost fix when i use far less than 44.1 sound. I guess Wine or Guitar Pro 6 is not able to eat my soundcard driver properbly... But it works in a way now, thanks! Matthias
F***ing Hell, will it EVER works, EVER!??? Arrghhh... The solution by emulating the sound in Wine instead of full processing to prevent the missmatch between the Pointer and the sound is no soklution at all. Sometimes the sound scratches ans stocks a lot cause of performance/speed reasons (ive got a Quadcore but what did THAT means these days...) and sometimes Wine and GuitarPro hangs/crashes without Error-message. MIDI isnt working in 1.3.3 either. Actually i am pissed off of Arobas, who dont get it to realise a stable, functional 64bit-Version of GP for Linux... All they offer are Hacks and System-unfriendly moves to give it a try if anything is running after that at all... Whatever, maybe someone has a idea how i can get MIDI work in Wine? Die RSE isnt an option for me it seems. Thanks in advice!!
