Good morning, I'm using wine and I feel very good, anyway now I have a little problem. I installed under wine an application that call the software setted as default to open documents. I installed, then, Open Office under wine and, as usually on windows system, I defined OO as default to open rtf documents, but when my application try to call the opening of the .rtf documents, they appear for some instant both OO, both wordpad and then OO closed. Anyone have some idea regarding how I could allow to open rtf document with OO and not with wordpad as default? Thanks in advance

It's the same program that should be able to open the same things the same way as OpenOffice for Windows...

This may or may not have been corrected as I'm not tracking the Issuezilla at OpenOffice.org. I recommend a compromise. Wine should first look for an installation of OpenOffice.org, either Linux or Windows. If this is not found, then it should use Wordpad. Lacking this, and I don't know why Wordpad would not be present, then the user is told that there is no program available to work with RTF files. What do you think about this as a solution to the problem? James McKenzie
May-be there was a little bit of confusion about what was my problem. Under wine, I installed Open Office, that I use normally, but when my application called the software setted as default to open .rtf document, wine wordpad it was the only to run, closing open office. Anyway, now I solved using the link posted by Thunderbird: item 7.4 on the FAQ http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#head-e03d797155ac6e9d8176f045acbdeebc28ad33d4 Now my next step and I think to be near of it, it's tell to the application to open the .rtf file using ubuntu open office and not the open office installed under wine... If I'll do it I'll post the solution.. For the insteance thanks to all... :)
