wine users - Dec 2008 - Force resolution in virtual desktop

Is it possible to stretch a low resolution game in a virtual desktop? Eg.
Command & Conquer gold, a 640*480 game, and stretch it across a 1440*900
virtual desktop? If yes, where can I adjust these settings?

No, Wine can't do this. And there are no plans to implement this feature.

You might want to try the unofficial patch that adds supports for
higher resolutions to the game...

There are many which I have installed for testing purposes. I will look at the
patch for that one, but so far with Starcraft for example the narrowed desktop
works very well.
