Can I suggest that someone tests these new releases of logcheck *before* they upload then. There seen to be a number of bugs being filed that testing of package upgrades and fresh installs worked would have caught. I also always ran pre release version on a number of my own servers to check that it was functioning as expect for a few days before they hit the archive. I'm also planning on trying to review the current code base and see if I have any comments about the changes since my last upload (1.2.9 I think). Any progress on the -commit list ? -- Jon "One's never alone with a rubber duck. " -- The Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy

We should maybe upload them to some ppl page (or to the alioth files section?) and announce it in here. I would say two days later if no report came in it is sensible to release it into the pool.> Any progress on the -commit list ?See this: * CVS User ttroxell <logcheck-devel at lists.alioth.debian.org> [2004-05-06 00:55]: | Update of /cvsroot/logcheck/logcheck/debian | In directory haydn:/tmp/cvs-serv766 | | Modified Files: | changelog | Log Message: | test commit | | | --- /cvsroot/logcheck/logcheck/debian/changelog 2004/05/06 06:46:26 1.43 | +++ /cvsroot/logcheck/logcheck/debian/changelog 2004/05/06 06:55:28 1.44 | @@ -13,7 +13,7 @@ | * Run debconf-updatepo. | * Fixed broken german po file... | todd: | - * Change logcheck home to /var/lib/logcheck (Closes #247614) | + * Change logcheck home to /var/lib/logcheck. I've set logcheck-devel as sender so that replies are sent here. The maximum lines of diff that will be included is set to 50, so the messages don't grow too big. So long, Alfie -- I am a dork. I've tested purge/install/upgrade from 1.2.17 on everything uploading including running logcheck -o but for a reason I'm still trying to work out, everything worked for me. This is the frustrating part. I'm not sure exactly went wrong. The point remains however, and future releases will be posted and tested at least two days before upload. The code review is much appreciated! You should have commit access on Alioth. Any patches are welcomed. Cheers, -- [ Todd J. Troxell ,''`.
