When I use Wine it appears to run pretending to be Windows 98. Is that because I once had Windows 98 and nothing later or is there a way to make it act like a newer version of Windows without going out and buying the M$ product? The application I am running via Wine is Pegasus Mail (PM). V4.31 of PM has some issues with Windows 98 and any new version of PM will probably not operate on Windows 98. -- Jim
Set the version to emulate in winecfg. You can run it from the command line. On Sun, 12 Feb 2006, James E. Lang wrote:> When I use Wine it appears to run pretending to be Windows 98.
