wine users - Sep 2007 - WINE

I have downloaded Ububtu abd used Add/Remove to install Wine.  I can not get it
to work.

Hi!
  I'm afraid we cannot help you because your input is not sufficient.
  Is it a problem with installation, or with running windows programs in
wine, or what ? Write more about symptoms, what are you getting or 
simply what goes wrong.
  Maybe you can also contact Ubuntu forums, it's possible they can help
you better.

Hey that's interesting!

I donwloaded and compiled Gentoo and used an ebuild from the official 
portage tree to build wine. I can get it to work.

Maybe you need to tell me step by step how to do you you describe, including
how to download using Ububtu.  I am still learning about Ubuntu.
