Hi all! I'm currently experiencing problems with Steam. I wanted to install Steam yesterday so I followed what was said in the appDB site. The installation worked just fine. Then Steams auto-starts and updated itself successfully. After the update, I get prompted for user/password to log into steam. If I put my user with a wrong password, I Steam gives me an error message telling me I've entered an incorrect password. So far, so good. Then if I put my good password and try to log in, after maybe 10 secs wine/steam seems to just freeze. I just can't log into steam. Am I the only one who is expreriencing this? Is this bug is specific only to steam or is it a general wine bug? I've searched the wine-users mailing list archive and found 2 post which seemed to talk about the problem I am experiencing. http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-users/2007-September/027832.html http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-users/2007-September/027838.html Unfortunately, no answers were replied to either one of these 2 posts. What could I do to fix this problem... I event tried to compile by hand the latest version of samba (3.0.26) because I had a warning telling me that my current version (3.0.24) was too old. Thank you very much for your help! I'd really love to be able to play DoD/CS on linux...! David -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
