asterisk users - May 2006 - Spoofing a BLF Signal?

Is there anyway to "spoof" a BLF signal to a phone from within a
dialplan?  That being so I can turn a BLF light on or off on a phone
when a certain thing happens in a dialplan?

I would write an AGI to place the needed files in the Voicemail
directory, and conversely remove them.

OEJ has some proof-of-concept code for doing this via the Local channel
and hints in the dialplan... if you are lucky, it will make it into
Asterisk 1.4.

There is also something similar in the bristuff package, if your system
has that installed.
