IMAP STARTTLS Problem
Hello,
I have this problem:
May 5 21:02:35 opsys dovecot: imap-login: Disconnected (no auth
attempts): rip=84.150.52.31, lip=78.46.216.126
Connecting via Thunderbird to STARTTLS won't work, but with a website
from the same server it works for tls://opsys.de.
So why is the port closed for external ip's?
IPTABLES entry for imap is this:
fail2ban-dovecot-pop3imap tcp -- anywhere

(PR#10799) Assigning a sub-matrix from a data frame to a
...at happened.
I think the problem is in your subject line: d[,1:2] is _not_ a
sub-matrix.
Reproting behaviour as 'strange' without explaining what you thought
should have happened and why leaves us guessing as to what you think the
'bug' might be.

Thunderbird STARTTLS error
Hello,
the error is still present:
May 8 19:47:18 opsys dovecot: imap-login: Disconnected (no auth
attempts): rip=82.113.119.140, lip=78.46.216.126
Whenever I start a session with openssl to STARTTTL (Server:
mail.opsys.de) the handshake is successfull. Also I am able to login to
my account via 1 login.
In Thunderbird port 993 for SSL/TLS works correct, only STARTTLS on port

samba and ssl certificates?
Morning,
I am working on enabling the ssl portion of several of my services (https,
imaps, ftps, etc). I am using a free certification authorithy (CA) for
my certificates. I need to get this CA's root certificate installed in
my several windows workstations. All these workstations are part of my
samba PDC domain.
Is there a way I can use samba, or maybe the logon.bat file, to install

software deployment
Hi,
Just wondering: What are you guys using to deploy software on your
windows (7) workstations within the samba4 AD?
These are options I know of:
* wpkg (but it seems it's development is not too active)
* wpkg-gp using the group policies
* www.opsi.org (Client Management System for Windows clients)
* standard windows software deployment, but I think that's msi-only
This page also has al lot interesting reading:

However, I'm looking for some praktical tips or experiences. What are
you using, do you...

Linux/Asterisk on game consoles?
Hello
I don't know much about game consoles, and I was wondering if someone
had successfully ported Linux and Asterisk to the current hardware,
ie. Nintendo Wii, Sony PS3, or Microsoft XBox360?
Thank you.

I think I just fixed that by changing the function to match the new
prototype. Unfortunately I can't currently test it myself. Please

how to show called name on calling polycomdisplay
This is a function of the Phone itself. Asterisk has nothing to do with
it as it does not know anything about the call until after the SIP
device 'sends' it.
To my knowledge it is not posible. I don't even think a SIP standard is
available for this.
This 'feature' along with changing CallerID Display after a call has
been answered is something missing from the RFC.

Using queue priorities to add agents
Hi,
I have a scenario that I am failing to implement using the Queue app, but
which I had thought would be commonplace...
1) (this bit works fine) I want a queue caller to have access to the basic
set of agents initially, with an overflow to additional agents if they are
busy - This is done using penalty:
queues.conf:
member => SIP/dev1,0,Agent1
member => SIP/dev2,0,Agent2

I wonder if this uses Wine?
http://techworld.com/opsys/news/index.cfm?NewsID=3064
The fact that they talk about Notes (the client) rather than Domino
(the server) suggests that they may be running the Notes client (as I
and many others do) under Linux, and the only way I know of to do this
is to use Wine.

Finding iaxy's (iaxies?)
According to http://kb.digium.com/entry/12/
The Iaxy will respond to pings on port 9999. You can ping your
broadcast IP on your network and listen with tcpdump on your
network on port 9999 which will show the Iaxy responding and what
IP address it is coming from.
Ex.
ping 192.168.1.255
tcpdump -i eth0 udp port 9999"
Before I get my karma whacked again, does this work for

Anyone have a method of keeping an incremental tally of calls?
Hi All,
I thought I read a post a while back of a system call or something in
the dialplan whereby a call count can be incremented and spit out to a
text file.
Not like a group count of active channels.
What I would like to accomplish is have an incremental count of a
specific dialplan routine that gets called, so after a week or month,
I can see how many times a specific dilaplan action has

User on PC?
I'm looking for a way for linux to query a pc if user X is on, and has
used the pc recently or the screensaver is not active.
If so, I'll route a call for user X to the phone near that PC.
Ideas, anyone?

letting the opsys determine what access a user has to a file. I do not know
if this is deliberate or not and it has pros and cons with respect to
security.
I solved the 'problem' by changing the group id on smb.conf to 10 (wheel on
Linux, staff on Soalris) and changing the permissions to 660. Since only
admins have wheel as their primary group, this restricts access to people
who have
