Hi, I am thinking of signing up with voice pulse connect to connect to my asterisk server and using it as a regular line. Is it good? Or should I go with vonage or others ? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I have just been using voice pulse connect from a hobbyist standpoint, but they have been just fine. Call quality is good for me, service is consistent and their prices reasonable. Be advised, however, when adding an inbound number that the $7.99 is billed the 1st of the month, regardless of when you sign up and is not prorated. That means if you obtain a number today, you will pay $7.99 for the next 7 days then $7.99 again Feb 1. Other than that one little caveat, I love it. Incoming calls are free, and I believe up to 4 simultaneous incoming calls are possible. Outgoing calls are billed per minute, regardless of geographic destination. If you make a lot of outgoing calls, you may want to consider their standard service which allows unlimited local minutes for a set fee per month. They have great outbound call reporting, and their method of refilling your account as you reach a $0.00 balance is nice. Hope this helps. Unless something's changed overnight Vonage doesn't offer a service that can be used directly with Asterisk; instead, you need to use an analog adapter and something that will give you an analog FXO port (like a TDM100). With Voicepulse Connect, VoipJet, and others, you don't need any extra hardware and you won't have any extra D/A A/D conversions. -mark On Jan 24, 2005, at 12:18 PM, Manjit Riat wrote:> Hi, > > ?
