Hi guys, I was reading that Steve Underwood is working on Asterisk R2 signalling support, and has the 95% of the work done. I was trying to contact him, on-list and off-list, and didn't receive any answer. Does anybody know something about his project or know a release date? Thanks in advance, Pablo.
Ok, it's old and clunky, but in some countries like Brazil, Argentina and China is the only alternative. So, the original question, does anybody know something about the Steve's project or know a release date? All the best, Pablo.>> -----Original Message----- >> From: Alfred R. Hi All, We have successfully finished implementing R2 support for *. Drop me an email off-list if you want to test it. Best, PauloHM
HI I'm from Boliva, I have spoken with a telephone company in Santa Cruz (COTAS), I need setup an * connected to E1 and R2 Signaling, please let me know any info available. Jorge: Steve said in more than once opportunity "this is unstable code", and is not supported in all countries. R2 differ between coutries. Check CVS for libr2. Include in your source path, modify chan_zap.c (line 4825, I think), compile, and configure it (it seems so easy!). However libr2 does not work. It is a partly implemented solution which I abandoned. It only gets you about 10% of the way to a working R2 system :-( My current R2 software is completely different.
