asterisk users - Mar 2003 - Very slow welcome message...

Hi All...

When I shut down my Asterisk server early this morning I had it working 
nicely.  I just started it up again and for some reason its acting up. 
When it answers the phone it plays all the messages very very slowely.

Voice mail prompts seem to work fine though.  I read in the archives about 
mpg321 vs mpg123 but I am not using music on hold and the messages are gsm 
files.

I have Debian testing, the dev kit and a version of asterisk from just a 
few days ago (in the CVS).

Can anyone tell me where to look?  Thanks...

Never mind, I found the trouble.  Apparently my Linux box booted in limp 
mode.  Sorry for chewing up the bandwidth.

Sometimes if a Linux server was not shut down correctly it will come up 
with the CPU speed reduced.
