All, We are currently testing the yum-utils and yum-utils-plugins in the dev.centos.org repository. The two main plugins that this allows that I think would be great for normal users are protectbase and fastestmirror. See the announcement on the centos-devel list for details: http://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos-devel/2005-November/000947.html Thanks, Johnny Hughes -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... If you are in that situation, and if you are using yum-utils-plugins, you will see all the mirrors marked as dead. You would need to disable the fastestmirror plugin by editing the file: /etc/yum/pluginconf.d/fastestmirror.conf and then setting: enabled=0 You would then still be able to use the protectbase (or other) plugins. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... (This didn't get out last night, sending again) I Installed both and I think they are working as they should. It keeps telling me the following: 174 packages excluded due to reposatory protections How do I get a list of the excluded packages? I'd like to make sure they are supposed to be excluded and / or why they were so I can check my setup.
