[Bug 1939] New: ssh client hangs when -t option is used to force pseudo-tty allocation
https://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1939 Bug #: 1939 Summary: ssh client hangs when -t option is used to force pseudo-tty allocation Classification: Unclassified Product: Portable OpenSSH Version: 5.4p1 Platform: PPC OS/Version: AIX Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: sshd AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at mindrot.org ReportedBy: mathews.dennis at gmail.com Created attachment 2091 --> https://bugzilla.mindrot.org/attachment.cgi?id=2091 ssh client verbose session ssh hangs when -t option is used to force pseudo-tty allocation to execute a command remotely. It hangs just after 'debug1: channel 0: open confirm rwindow 0 rmax 32768'. This has been reproduced using multiple accounts on multiple client OS ( Solaris/AIX/Linux with varying client versions ) to rule out problem with client. Not all servers with the same version of OpenSSH are affected though, but the configurations are the same across working and non-working servers. Nothing more is logged on the server other than a successful authentication/login. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.mindrot.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching the assignee of the bug.

[Bug 1939] ssh client hangs when -t option is used to force pseudo-tty allocation
https://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1939 Darren Tucker <dtucker at zip.com.au> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |dtucker at zip.com.au --- Comment #1 from Darren Tucker <dtucker at zip.com.au> 2011-09-20 14:10:25 EST --- I believe this was fixed in 5.6 (see bug #1698). From the release notes (http://www.openssh.com/txt/release-5.6): * Kill channel when pty allocation requests fail. Fixed stuck client if the server refuses pty allocation (bz#1698) Can you reproduce the problem with a current version? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.mindrot.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching the assignee of the bug.
