Force pseudo-tty allocation option "-t"
Please Cc: me on the reply as I am not on the list.
>From the ssh(1) man page:
-t Force pseudo-tty allocation. This can be used to execute arbi

very useful, e.g., when implementing menu services.

Pseudo-tty allocation and -T option
Hello,
I've set up a cron job to use ssh with a remote forced command to delete the
contents of a directory. System A has the cron job and uses a specific key
for system B. No command as such is specified since the key on system B
specifies 'command=/bin/rm -rf ...'. However, I am getting error messages
back from the cron system (or rather from ssh) about it not allocating a tty

Force TTY
Hi all,
I'm having problems with getting a tty against an extreme switch. I've tried
with the -t flag that is supposed to force a tty but it's not working.
I checked the code in ssh.c where this option is parsed:
case 't':
if (tty_flag)
force_tty_flag = 1;
tty_flag = 1;
break;
The tty_flag is initialized to 0 and what I can see this flag is always 0 at

X11 Forwarding troubles with OpenSSH client and OpenVMS host
Hello,
I searched through the mailing list archives here, at
securityfocus.com, at HP and google and have come up dry. Sorry in
advance if my search was not complete enough or I missed something but
I sure as heck didn't see anything.

User manipulation of tty mode opcodes / IUTF8 incompatibilities
Hey all,
The IUTF8 tty mode support added to the client in 7.3 unfortunately
appears to have broken interop with a handful of noncompliant server
implementations that immediately close the connection when they are
sent an opcode that they know nothing about, rather than ignore it.
Setting the value to 0 is not enough: its mere presence regardless of
value is enough to cause the server to bomb

OpenSSH Hangs After Successful Authentication
Greetings...
** Short Description / Abstract **
Using my _internal_ WiFi card, OpenSSH succeeds to local (internal) LAN
hosts, but hangs after authentication to external LAN hosts; however
PuTTY works for all hosts.
Using an _external_ WiFi card, OpenSSH does succeed to all LAN hosts (as
did PuTTY, still, as well).

Multiple mongrels for one app
Hi mongrel-users,
This is my first post, so I''m not sure if it''s been asked before, but
I can''t find an answer anywhere.
If I have one rails application running, one processor I''m running it
on, and mongrel is multi-threaded, why should I have more than one
mongrel running?
Everyone seems to agree on 3-5 mongrels per rails app, but why?

I am working on a client server application that involves extensive client
server interaction in a single ssh session. The application is also
required to capture all the Read , Write and Error Filehandles to work on
