Multiple mongrels for one app
Hi mongrel-users,
This is my first post, so I''m not sure if it''s been asked before, but
I can''t find an answer anywhere.
If I have one rails application running, one processor I''m running it
on, and mongrel is multi-threaded, why should I have more than one
mongrel running?
Everyone seems to agree on 3-5 mongrels per rails app, but why?

R results explanation
Hi all,
this might be a stupid question, but still.
Everytime i find some new function it's prettty easy to understand how to
use the syntax and to perform a text. Even the general idea of what the
function does is pretty easy to understand, but i can not find an

Passenger won't allow ActiveRecord to be extended ?
After much tinkering, I have discovered that any module or plugin which

Is this a known behavior?
I have confirmed that my Passenger installation is working just fine
with a simple Rails application that does not modify AR.
Passenger 2.0.3
OS X 10.5.4
Built-in Apache 2.2
ruby 1.8.6(114)
Rails 1.2.6

thank you
I recently got into using RoR, and the only issue that concerned me was the
apparently complexity of deployment. Setting up fastcgi can be a bit of a
pain, and I was hoping that the Rails community would come up with something
simpler.
Mongrel was recommended to me from someone on my local Ruby user group. It was
trivial to install as a Gem on my Linux desktop and the FreeBSD server that I

migrating from XenServer / XCP to libvirt/KVM
I've been using XenServer / XCP (with the "xe" toolset) for a number of
years for hosting servers used for development and free software
projects and I'm now looking at migrating all those environments to
libvirt / KVM.
I had a look at the wiki[1] already and didn't see XenServer mentioned
there.
Could anybody help comment on or explain a few things:

now the problem is: everytime i log into my w2k-client, i get something
like "your password expires today! would you like to change it ??"
