dovecot - Oct 2006 - bug: ssl fails when using certificates with "trust" setting

I filled in the fedora tracker:

Dovecot uses OpenSSL calls to open and parse the certificates, so if
this is a bug I'd say it's an OpenSSL's bug.

Timo,

that's possible, but what is more probable is that it's not a bug in 
openssl, but in the way it is used in your code.
