Robin Harris, a ZFS fanboy, mentioned this benchmark on his blog, and since
I''m not a great fan of fanboys (though to some degree I *am* a fan of
ZFS) I responded in some detail (several times, since he''s not easily
disabused of a misconception once he''s latched onto it):

It is of course possible that material omitted from Duncan''s
presentation would place the situation in a different light:  if anyone wants to
bring the above criticism to his attention I''d be interested in seeing
