zfs discuss - Dec 2005 - scrub performance?

Hi,

what kind of performance is to be expected from a scrub? I''m running
b28 on a amd64 and I have two 160GB SATA drives that is configured as a zfs
mirror (actually, two partitions on those drives). When I try to run a scrub it
takes forever - the estimates from a zpool status says something like 72 hours
(I don''t know how long it will take but I started one last night around
midnight and this morning around 9am it was still running). Does these numbers
sound reasonable?

For this config you should see somewhere around 10-50 MB/s depending
on how the data is laid out, the average block size, etc.  Even at
the low end (10 MB/sec), and assuming a completely full pool (160GB),
that''s still only 18 hours.  If you can send me a minute''s
worth of
output from ''zpool iostat -v 1'', and also the output of
''zpool status -v''
before and after, I''ll see if anything unusual jumps out.
