Hi, I use SQUEEZE 64bits on HP DL160 (Intel Xeon Quad Core E5504, 16Go RAM) with the kernel 2.6.32-5-amd64 (2.6.32-33). I have installed XEN 4.0.1 HYPERVISOR but the server REBOOT when I try to use the kernel. PS : The kernel 2.6.32-5-xen-amd64 boot is OK. grub.cfg : =======================================================================================menuentry ''Debian GNU/Linux, with Linux 2.6.32-5-xen-amd64 and XEN 4.0-amd64'' --class debian --class gnu-linux --class gnu --class os --class xen { insmod part_msdos insmod ext2 set root=''(hd0,msdos1)'' search --no-floppy --fs-uuid --set 5b901a8c-5bd0-45db-8d3e-26c72ac5774c echo ''Chargement de Linux 2.6.32-5-xen-amd64 ...'' multiboot /boot/xen-4.0-amd64.gz placeholder dom0_mem=1024M dummy=dummy sync_console com1=115200,8n1 console=com1 lapic=debug apic_verbosity=debug apic=debug iommu=off console_to_ring dom0_max_vcpus=1 earlyprintk=xen guest_loglvl=all loglvl=all module /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.32-5-xen-amd64 placeholder root=UUID=5b901a8c-5bd0-45db-8d3e-26c72ac5774c ro quiet splash dummy=dummy console=hvc0 earlyprintk=xen nomodeset initcall_debug debug loglevel=10 drm.debug=255 echo ''Chargement du disque mémoire initial ...'' module /boot/initrd.img-2.6.32-5-xen-amd64 ======================================================================================== Console logs : =========================================================================================(XEN) Xen version 4.0.1 (Debian 4.0.1-2) (waldi@debian.org) (gcc version 4.4.5 (Debian 4.4.5-10) ) Wed Jan 12 14:04:06 UTC 2011 (XEN) Console output is synchronous. Re: [Xen-users] Reboot XEN 4.0.1 and SQUEEZE 64bits
Hi Thanks for reponse Yes, I use squeeze-proposed-updates repositories . I have tried to reinstall the server without squeeze-proposed-updates repositories and boot is OK. But, why the squeeze-proposed-updates make trouble with hypervisor kernel ???? It''s python updates, xen kernel updates, or xen hypervisor updates ???> Message du 11/04/11 14:34 > De : "Paulo Henrique Lopes Ribeiro" > A : "RAPHAEL REMONDINI" > Copie à : > Objet : Re: [Xen-users] Reboot XEN 4.0.1 and SQUEEZE 64bits > > Hi Rafael, i had the same problem days ago ..... > Was just because im using squeeze-proposed-updates repositories.
