I am currently running XCP 0.1.1 on one node for testing purposes. I would like to upgrade it to XCP 0.5. Is there a way to upgrade the XCP version without reinstalling, or should I simply reinstall the latest version fresh? _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
When you boot from the new CD/ISO, it gives you the opportunity to upgrade if there''s already an older version on the drive. For me 0.5RC3->0.5 upgrade didn''t work :-( However during the upgrade (which I''ve opted for when it was offered) it told me that it can''t upgrade and I did a clean install then. Huh, worked fine here on all the hosts in both my production and stunt clouds. Hi Vern,> Huh, worked fine here on all the hosts in both my production and stunt clouds.have you been able to rolling upgrade without downtime as per chapter 4 of http://www.xen.org/files/XenCloud/installation.pdf ? I''ve been able to update the pool from 0.1.1 to 0.5, but I couldn''t migrate the VMs from the 0.1.1 slave to the 0.5 master during the rolling upgrade, so I had to shut them down first. Perhaps I did something wrong...
