[Xen-devel] [PATCH] QEMU Emulated Device Unplug Protocol Version 2 (refresh)
All, Attached is a new version of my previous patch to introduce emulated device unplug protocol version 2. This patch prevents version 2 from being exposed to drivers that do not explicitly request it. They will still see version 1 and should continue to work as before. In this patch I have also updated the document i386-dm/README.hvm-pv-magic-ioport-disable to better explain the unplug protocols (and QEMU logging on behalf of the guest). I have a couple of questions:
Where is the other side of this protocol currently implemented, if
anywhere ?
Are we sure that grabbing more IO fixed ports is a sensible thing to
do ?
Ian.
