Xen devel - Dec 2008 - Kemari Project only works with HVM domains?

People,

 I want to use Kemari project to create a HA for my firewalls domUs but, I
see on the Kemari website the following info:

 http://www.osrg.net/kemari/usage.html
...
8. *Create HVM guest domain.* Disk image should be in a shared storage.
9. Install PV driver to the HVM guest domain.
...

 My question is: Kemari Project only works with HVM domains?

 My two identical 32bits dom0 nodes doesn''t have support for HVM
domains,
only PV.

Yes.  Since Kemari requires shadow page table, you cannot use it with
domUs.  Detailed information why Kemari requires shadow page table can
be got from "Documentations, Slides" in:
http://www.osrg.net/kemari/.

I am afraid that you might not know recompiling of Xen is required to
use Kemari.

 Only other question:

 Can Xen Hypervisor be 64bits? My HVM domU to use with Kemari will be
32bits.
 Or entire setup to Kemari needs to be pure 32bits?

May be no, I do not think you can use 64bits Xen hypervisor with Kemari.
We have not tested Kemari on 64bits yet, though.
