[Xen-devel] Stage of x86_64 port?
Hi, I''m using xen (and UML) for a while now and it is absolutely great, mostly because it is a good concept and developed in a professional manner. I''m very interested ''how stable'' the x86_64 port currently is. We have a 64 bits machine waiting to go into production, but ofcourse it would be very cool to have 64 bit support straight away. Is this currently a ''NO GO'' for production usage, or could it be that ''if it works, it will remain working'' ? I hope I''ve got time to test it for a while and provide some valuable feedback, but the machine is remote and is needed for production. -- Kind regards, Erik de Bruijn BudgetDedicated www.BudgetDedicated.com | Tel. +31 492 430559 | Fax. +31 492 663870 | Mob. +31 6 21856715 | Adres: Haagwinde 16 | Zipcode NL-5731 WD Mierlo ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: InterSystems CACHE FREE OODBMS DOWNLOAD - A multidimensional database that combines robust object and relational technologies, making it a perfect match for Java, C++,COM, XML, ODBC and JDBC. www.intersystems.com/match8 _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list Xen-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/xen-devel
x86/64 support is not in the tree yet. The beginnings of it are there, but nowhere near enough to start using it. It''ll be a month or two at least I should think. -- Keir> Hi, > > I''m using xen (and UML) for a while now and it is absolutely great, > mostly because it is a good concept and developed in a professional > manner.
