To get Xen 2.0 to use xwindows I use the "vga" driver which does not make for a good looking X. Does the Xen binary dist come with other good generic xwindows drivers? If not will I need to recompile to get support for i810? If it relies on agpgart it currently won''t work, but we''re hoping to sort this out in the next couple of weeks. The VESA generic driver won''t work either (because it requires vm86 support), but there is an experimental patch for this that will probably go into the unstable tree soon. Since Xen doesn''t support agp I''m considering a PCI eVGA Nvidia Geforce2 MX 400 w/ 64MB DDR, 2x/4x. Should that card work with the binary drivers from nvidia? What about the standard xorg drivers? > Since Xen doesn''t support agp I''m considering a PCI eVGA NvidiaXen does support AGP cards, just not (yet) the AGPGART driver that *some* AGP cards require. If you had an AGP card that didn''t need the GART driver, you should be OK...> Geforce2 MX 400 w/ 64MB DDR, 2x/4x. Should that card work with the > binary drivers from nvidia? What about the standard xorg drivers? The NVIDIA binary drivers don''t work. The standard xorg NVidia drivers should work OK (can anyone out there confirm this?), although they don''t offer as much functionality as the binary drivers.
