Xapian discuss - Jun 2010 - undefined reference to `Xapian::Document::values_end() const'

I've got a simple for-loop:

for( v=doc.values_begin(); v!=doc.values_end(); v++ )

going through the values of a document from a search.  I really don't
understand why I'm getting this undefined reference?  
(apart from this, everything links fine).

I'm working in C++, on Linux, with Xapian 1.2.0.
