Xapian discuss - Jan 2007 - Can document values be used in a query?

As per subject line, is there any way to add a query op that will test one of 
the document values, rather than posting terms?

If by "add a query op" you mean implementing a new one, then yes,
it's
certainly possible.  For example, you could implement range searching
like this.

There's not currently such a query op though.
