wxruby users - Apr 2006 - Bigdemo problem

One of the recent changes causes Bigdemo''s first dialog box (the tip of
the day) to not be visible on the screen.  I seem to have this problem 
now on my branch, too.  You have to close the (hidden) window to get the 
demo to open.  I''ll try tracking this down today.  Mighty perplexing.
