I don''t quite know what you mean by "repeating messages". I
modified the
nothing.rb like this:
class MyFrame < Wx::Frame
def initialize(title)
super(nil, -1, title)
create_status_bar(2)
set_status_text("Quick status")
evt_left_down do set_status_text("Down") end
evt_left_up do set_status_text("Up") end
end
end
When I press the left mouse button, it shows Down, and when I release it
it shows Up.
Perhaps the problem is that you are setting the status bar text
repeatedly within in a processing loop of a single event handler, so
wxRuby never has a chance to update the UI? If you can describe your
situation a little bit, I can probably suggest how to structure it to work.
