When I double click a html file for example, I think wine is trying to launch the windows browser though wine, which is somehow unsuccessful causing lag on my machine, how can I fix this? [Image: http://i.imgur.com/s0r1p.png ]

In KDE that's done under File Associations. I don't know about other desktop environments.
The easiest way is to go to ~/.local/share/applications/ and delete the wine-extension-htm.desktop file. It will remove the MIME association made by Wine (in this case Wine Internet Explorer for text/html files).
