wine users - May 2012 - Failure in internet connections after updat. to Ubuntu 12.04

Running applications with wine on Ubuntu 11.10 was OK

I recently updated to Ubuntu 12.04 and my Windows applications cannot connect to
the internet.

Any clue?

I'm a newbie, so keep it simple.

What version of Wine? If it's not the latest development release, upgrade.
If it doesn't work in the latest development release, post terminal output.
