Wine can be compiled for PPC but it will NOT run Windows programs. There is no known working solution to have Wine run Windows programs on PPC, short of running full x86 virtual machine with x86 distro in it.
I understood, what it a hard task. But 1 year ago some fans make Darwine for MacOs....

The last PPC build was over two years ago and required an X86 emulator to run. I think they were using a dual G5 and were very upset at the performance of the package and stopped supporting it. I worked on G4 1 Gh under Virtual PC. Office soft work without problem. I try to use my old PowerBook as Netbook :) But when I try to install Q - it was really slowly. I installed XP Pro 15 hours :) I have a free time and want to expiroment with WINE. I install it to iMac with i386 - its really excellent.
