wine users - Sep 2009 - Wine for Umbutu - Beta packages???

On the Wine download page for Umbutu, it warns that the packages are Beta. 

I'm new to both Wine and Umbutu and have not yet tried to install either.  I
read something about Umbutu having Wine repository files?  Does Umbutu include
Wine?  Or is it just ready to accept Wine as an add-on.  Are there any stable
versions of Wine for Umbutu?  If so, where do I get them?

What is Umbutu?  Do you mean Ubuntu?

If so, Ubuntu does have the wine packages in its repository.  Just start
Synaptic and search for wine.  However, those packages are very old and you
would probably do better to install the ones from this site.
