wine users - Aug 2009 - Wine+HL2+Jaunty=trouble

Hello guys. I am new here and I have a problem.

I have recently downloaded wine and tried to install my Half Life 2 retail disk,
but, it failed.
The setup has crashed  while installing file "base source shared
models" saying:

"Fatal Error"
Installation ended prematurely because an error.

I am using newest Wine from software sources and Ubuntu Jaunty.

Help me install my lovely game.

Just use Steam and download it.

It gonna take awhile with my crappy intertne.. but oh well gonna do it :D

Even from CD it would take a lot of downloading - decrypting all content from
CD, pulling all updates (which there were lots of).
