Hi, I'm trying to run the game Galactic Civilizations [http:// www.galciv1.com/] on my Ubuntu 6.10 system. Setup seemed to run fine, but running "wine galciv.exe" shows the initial videos (Strategy First splash, Stardock splash, game FMV intro), but then the screen flashes and crashes to the desktop, with desktop resolution changed to 1024x768 (usually 1280x1024). I'm guessing that's when it's tries to load the main menu. I get this output: http://ncom.fi/~jsoderba/personal/galciv-wine.txt I'm using Wine 0.9.30 and a GeForce 6600 GT with Nvidia's binary driver, both from Ubuntu's packages. Anybody have any ideas? I haven't done much with Wine before, so I don't know where to begin.
