Hello, I assume this is a common item, b my icons are not appearing in the menu bar in my application, although I have seen screenshots of the same application running on other wine setups witht he icons. Is this related to my X settings, or is there something else I should look at? Thanks, Duncan McQueen

Several patches have been submitted in the last couple of days to fix issues with icons. It is possible they will fix your issue (give it another few days to get into Wine).
I used the latest git sources and still have the issue. Since you already have git running, you could perform a regression test: http://www.winehq.org/site/docs/winedev-guide/x1348 You could file a bug (after checking for existing bugs): http://bugs.winehq.org/ You could provide a lot more details here; application name, any free download location, symptoms, Wine messages. It is not your X settings.
I changed my depth to 24 and the icons appeared.
