wine users - Jun 2006 - success report: bricscad v7

bricscad v7 just came out.  I tried the 'classic' version,
and oddly enough, it seems to run fine in the latest wine from cvs.
(Probably runs just as well in 0.9.16.)
Has anyone else tested it harder than I did?

I just get this error trying to launch bricsCAD :
X Error of failed request:  BadDevice, invalid or uninitialized input
device
  Major opcode of failed request:  145 (XInputExtension)
  Minor opcode of failed request:  3 (X_OpenDevice)
  Serial number of failed request:  260
  Current serial number in output stream:  260

Why?
