[Wine] Problems running Starcraft and other 2D games
Hi guys,
I have a setup here that is a bit older:
500 MHz, 248 MB RAM, NV TNT 2 w/32MB
Linux 2.6, Xorg7
which should suffice very well for Starcraft.
It runs a bit slow, though, and other games in the same range (like
Dark Reign 1) are even slower.
Does anyone know what could cause this?
Leslie

Basically, wine has to do a lot of color depth conversions and the like, which ATM are _very_ slow. Care to learn more? Have a look at recent issues of the Wine Weekly News, or read the wine-devel archives Daniel
