wine in 2.6 kernel

i am using wine-20041212 with redhat9 default kernel which is working 
fine. Now i am trying to do the same thing in MDK10.0, but failed 
somewhere. Is it because of the kernel(2.6.?). I followed all steps in 
the howto.

anybody running Msoffice on wine with kernel 2.6 there? please reply so 
that i can try again with different ways.

The RPMs of wine for Mandrake Linux have been tested and are binary compatible
with Mandrake 10.0 with kernel 2.6
Please try the winehq binaries, you can get them from
http://www.winehq.com/download

wine in 2.6 kernel

Before installing IE6, rename the regsvr32.so under /usr/lib/wine to
regsvr32.so.2, delete regsvr32.exe under your "c" windows or system32
directory (sorry, cant remember the actual dir), create a soft link from
/usr/lib/wine/regsvr32.so.2 to regsvr32.exe (the dir that you deleted the file
earlier)... This solved ELF error all the times :)

ELFerror all the times :)
There is no way this will just stop wine from crashing, if there's a bug,
wine
will crash anyway. The ELF stuff are not
errors anyway.
