Used components: SuSE Linux 9.0 wine 20030813 physical memory 1 GB Windows 98 emulation setup programm from DVD starts and asks for the desired language. During the preparation of the installshield the programm crashes with this error: Unhandled exception: page fault on read access to 0xfffffff5 in 32-bit code (0x004036e1). In 32-bit mode. 0x004036e1 (setup.exe..text+0x26e1 in setup.exe): movl 0xfffffff4(%ebp), ecx What does this mean? What can I do? Thank you for your advices. Walter.

The crash of wine is, because the install programm force a restart of the PC. The installation starts after the restart. So I copied the installed programm and the dlls from the windows 98 machine to wine. Now the programm starts, but does not really work. It miss the registry entries. Is there a possibility to copy only the relevant entries and merge with the registry of wine? (because there are many entries from the programm). Is there another workaround for the restart from the install programm? Walter.
