I never had that experience. I use notes with wine, since Notes Release
5.0.7 or so. Right now, I am using 6.5.1 which works pretty well with wine
20031212.
Maybe you try those versions. Do _not_ use Notes 6.x older than 6.5.1 with
wine, because this causes troubles.
Just give it a try. By the way, just copy the installation directory from
a windows - Workstation to your linux box and copy the .dll - Files into
your System folder. That is what I did to make it run.
