wine users - Jul 2003 - Windows Print Manager and Print drivers on Wine

I have a Canaon Multipass F50 printer which doesn't have any drivers for 
Linux.  Though it may be beyond the intent of Wine, would it be possible 
to get my printer to work in linux through Wine by installing the 
windows print manager and my windows printer driver under Wine?  If not, 
any thoughts on expanding wine to do so?

Wine doesn't replace Linux, it works on top of Linux. So whatever you do in
wine it eventually goes through Linux. That's why you always need native
Linux drivers to access a device, wine does only "redirecting".
