wine users - Nov 2001 - keyboard problem in wine

I'm trying to run a game, championship manager, but i can't use the 
keyboard. I do have keyboard in other applications, but the strange 
thing happens with this game, after i type something and change to 
another menu i can't type anymore and the only thing that happens is the 
comp speacker beeping eatch time i type. Any ideas?
