Yeah.. I have Agent 1.8
I just copied the agent folder from a w98 box
to Mandrake 8.1 in the fake.windows/program files folder.
I didn't really expect it to work, but it does. (Using it right now.)
Except for slow scrolling, it seems to even work better on Mandrake
than on w98.
Although the Print option in the File menu is greyed out. I'm using
cups to print to a Lexmark Z53. I suppose some fiddling will fix that.
(I just did this about an hour ago.)
I have a dsl line that supplies internet to 4 computers, 2 w98 and 2
linux. My download time using Agent on linux was significantly faster
than on windows. (Downloads from usenet binary groups.)
I have no idea why that would be.
I am using codeweavers wine.
Now we'll see if I can actually post this message.
