wine users - Oct 2001 - wine font colors (age of empires 2)

hey all, i got age of empires 2 running fairly well in linux using the latest 
cvs of winex. it's fully playable (a tad slow in some areas, but fully
playable
nonetheless), with minor graphic glitches. the fonts are driving me crazy 
though, they are drawn in black, and would be much easier to read if they were 
white. is there any way to force wine to use a certain font color? i know you 
can change fonts, but can you change the colors it uses? all thoughts are 
appreciated. thanks.
