I keep hearing that Ian Schmidt figured out how to get Word 2000 to work under Wine. Well, his domain comes up unknown and all references I have seen on this subject hyperlink to his defunct URL. Has anyone out there got Word 2000 installed on W2K to work under wine? I'm using FreeBSD Codeweaver port but any success from anyone be it Red Hat, Mandrake, etc would be appreciated.

Forget running on W2K. *If* you intend to use Word2K with Wine, then use a Win9x install. (yes, it starts up there, but it's kind of semi-usable) -- Andreas Mohr, Renningen, Germany In case you need to contact me after expiry of temporary email address: my real address is (initial of first name).(last name)@mailto.de

Where'd you get a port of codeweavers wine for FreeBSD? I'd love to try that as I've had no luck getting wine to work in Free.
