wine users - Mar 2001 - protocol error

Hi. I've just installed Wine on FreeBSD 4.3-BETA and I keep getting a
protocol error, even for the smallest things like --version:

bash-2.04$ wine --version
Wine release 20010305
Protocol error: process 0x8069000: partial recvmsg 0 for fd

Any ideas?

I'm getting the same thing now in 4.2-20010406-STABLE.  I'm running X
4.03
and KDE 2.1.  Anyone have any ideas?
