wine users - Feb 2001 - Does Visual Basic 6 run on wine?

Hi,

I would like to switch over to linux, but I need to run VB on my computer
for one of my classes.  I don't want to dual boot, so if it works, then
I'll switch. If it doesn't, I'll wait.

If anyone has any experience running VB with Wine, please let me know.

Hi

I have run VB5 on wine, and I was able to compile and actually run the very
simple apps I created with wine.  I am not sure about VB6, but with 5, there
did not seem to be any problems.  Of course, I was running it from a Win98
partition.

if you need a little more security, shell out for win4lin (it is
sometimes available on offer for about $50 when there's a show coming -
VB4 is certainly fine under W4L.
But keep using wine as well  :-)
